About Skippack Goldsmiths and Gifts
David Jay Pavlow began his career in jewelry manufacturing in the 1960s on Sansom Street's famous “Jewelers Row” in downtown Philadelphia. He hung out his shingle and within five years he was managing a shop of 15 bench goldsmiths. David focused on the design and manufacturing of wholesale collections of jewelry while at the same time catering to his retail customers.
Many of David's clients made the drive into downtown Philadelphia from the adjacent suburbs. In the early 1970's, David recognized the demand for more upscale shopping in Philadelphia's suburban towns. In 1974 he opened David Jay Jewelers in Spring House, Pa. At this location, he also managed a large staff of goldsmiths and over the years developed a clientele of approximately 5,000. Currently, David and his wife Susan are the owners and operators of Skippack Goldsmiths in Skippack, Pa.
David and Susan continue to offer excellent customer
service, a wide range of jewelery services and an unmatched selection of
